so to be really safe i could get two big coolers and be ok? or would one big one with an electric fan that is temp controlled be good enough. i just need to be able to go in stop in go traffic in 100+ degree heat without any probs!

If you run 2, try to set them up in parallel (Y-block to both with hot oil, Y-block back together back to the tranny) instead of serial (out of one into the other). They will shed more heat and have 1/4 the restriction and psi loss.

Performabuilt has really good info on their FAQ about running multiple coolers.

FWIW, I just run a single B&M with the stocker bypassed.

Can you post a link? I just looked at & searched their entire FAQ and there is nothing about multiple coolers except they say to take your radiator cooler out of the circuit when you add an external cooler.
