Default LT1 Pro-Kit on LS1 F-body???

I searched and couldnt find a tread about what I wanted to know!!!
I've been looking for a set of springs for a while now, and was thinking about going with Strano! I know his are on back order till possibly June and since I dont wanna wait till then, I've decided to go with the PRO-KIT!

I'm thinking about installing the LT1 kit over the LS1 since there arent any sag issues with lt1 pro-kit! Any comments and advice are appriciated, post pics if any, thanks again!

I do it often, and they are the better of the two Pro-kits to use. I keep them in stock in fact because they are one of the springs I use as alternative to mine (only when I don't have mine). They are the most like my springs in terms of working rate and height. But they weigh more and are a little stiffer than most folks need.

Drop is about the same as mine.. no bad sag issues, but over time the rear can drop a little (one of the things our springs don't do), but nowhere near the frequency or amount of "sag" you get with LS1 springs.

Don't forget we have the Eibach's too..... Not the Ebay pricing because I have bills to pay, but fair pricing and they are in stock. We are also taking backorders on our springs as well (but that won't make them get here any sooner).

sam do you think the lt1 prokit is better than hotchkis? i figured hotchkis would be the most similar to yours.

I'm also interested in knowing how the hotchkis and lt1 pro kit springs compare to each other.

I personally called sam and he recommend the LT1 Pro Kit as most comparable to his springs - this is what i ordered.

I think he has commented on hotchkis and sells them too, but I am not sure that he likes them. Best way to find out - call and ask him.

I was actually thinking about getting rid of my Prokit in order to get the BMR or Strano springs. I just want a more comfortable ride but if Sam says these are almost as good as his I might just keep em! I was leaning towards the BMR's since I figured it would give me more clearance and better ride.

Good info in this thread. I wasn't even aware of it. Makes me wonder why the LT1 prokit doesn't come up more often in spring recommendation threads, unless most people just don't know....

Thats what I was wondering! Even if you go to strano's website and click on the LT1 kit, it says that is recommended instead of the LS1 kit,SAM knows the best, now all I need to do is save some $ for Koni's

the LT1 pro kit is a harder spring than stranos

the ls1 pro kit is much softer though.

it just depends.

The LT1 Pro Kit is what strano is recommending if you cannot wait for his springs (on backorder).

The LS1 pro kit has lots of problems like varying ride height and sagging rear. They are not recommended.

If you can wait for stanos springs, i would do that, but if you can't call him up and see what he recommends.

The most important part is that you upgrade the shocks. The stock shocks suck even for stock spring rates, when you up the spring rate, you need a better shock to control it.
