Racer's Lounge - Local guy is calling me out

There's a guy who has always wanted to race me in his Tiburion or however you spell it. Well he met me when my car was mostly stock and since the winter came around everything in my sig has been done. Well I see now hes turbo and n2O but stock block and no other real work done to the car. Also this is not even the GT version its a 4 banger and I have no idea the shot or how man lbs hes pushing. Should I offer to throw some cash down on the deal cuz like a bunch of threads im seeing gas isn't cheap and I could always use more gas money?

Fixed :thumb: im not afraid to race him at all in fact i couldnt believe he still wanted to proceed after I gave him my mod list but im sure he has no idea what any of it is. I think i might try and go for a $50 run if he will do it.

^^^ thats what i did with my vett. Had n20 on stand by just in case i needed it. Keep it a close race and you can make some good cash.

Well saturday night came around and the guy never called me back. I still went out to run with a few other guys so it wasnt a complete waste. He eventually responded back to my email, he said he broke the turbo and wasnt receiving the new turbo until friday and would like to run this coming weekend....:eyes: Along with that he said he was racing an SS at the time, yet he just wants a friendly race b/c hes stock internals on only 10 lbs and wouldnt be using the n2o. Well I guess I'll just have to wait and waste my gas next weekend.

the I4 tibs are easier to get good FI results out of than the v6 ones for some reason. There are plenty of supercharged/turbo tiburons running in the low 11's from what i've seen, so i would make sure you do your homework before putting any money down.

I can guarantee hes not in the 11's I was just talking to him today and saw him race a pretty much stock 00 ss just a lid and magnaflow cat back and he lost in fact it wasnte much fun to watch. Although thats when he messed up his turbo so who knows, but he said he put 210rwhp on 10lbs no nitrous and I find that extremely hard to believe. He said he doesn't want to run for money just a friendly race anyways which im always game for but figured I would try to get some cash too.
