Cadillac CTS-V - UUC shifter is stiff

I just installed the UUC shifter and Lindsay bushings along with Specterwerks cradle bushings. The shifter is great but seems very stiff. Is this normal or will it get looser with age ?

The throughbolt that connects the shifter to the linkage can be overtightened to make it really stiff. Try loosening that a turn or so to see if it helps.
