Lots of noise early like lifters or something

02 with 28k miles. It rattles a good bit when I first start it cold. Sounds like lifter tap... is that normal for LS-1's?

Search "piston slap" or "cold start knock" on here. I have posted several times on this. In a nutshell don't worry about it. It's harmless. Tons more info on Chevytalk.com in the 99 up truck section and if you run across www.pistonslap.com that site is total B.S. There would have been a successful class action lawsuit against GM if what that site said was true.
