If i recall its 925 (per their website, but others may know more than me.) Intercoolers will be your shortcoming before the D1

from what I have heard 750whp seems to be where it runs out of steam.

750ish is about the max you can spin one on a loaded dyno. A f1 is better suited to make this range of hp as you do not have to wing it as hard to produce the same numbers.

As ussual it depends on setup.Your could have a poor motor combo and put out 600rwhp or you can have an efficient setup that does 700rwhp on pump gas. Then you can get real efficient with Meth and put out 900rwhp.Matters on the build.

I just had a 98 Z at the shop running the D1 at 8lbs and a 224 Cam,headers. To my surprise it pushed 560rwhp/510tq detuned as far as possible.(customer only wanted 450-480rwhp)I know we would of gone past 600rwhp with the Cam only 98 motor. That motor just ran efficient.

nice i thought about a F1A but how will the driveability be with this unit also i would need a fmic with this one as well but will it work without doing the bottom end of the engine as long as i keep the boost to about 8lbs

driveability is fine. I believe that it is kind of hard to pulley it down to that low of boost, the F1-A does create a little more heat then its little brother and since you would be buying a bigger blower for use in the future I would go ahead and buy a FMIC so you do not have upgrade that in the future. But If you never plan to go over 8 pounds on a stock bottom end, then there would be no point in buying a F1-A you would be wasting power to spin a bigger blower for nothing. and it would be out of its efficiency range.

Normally the least amount of boost you can produce with an F-1A is 12 psi or so. You can have a custom pulley made by ASP for the head unit, something in the 5.75 range will slow down the blower to keep boost around 8 psi.
