Default High Mileage SOM SS value

I have the opp. to buy a 02 SOM SS, t-tops, CME, leather, 9 out 10 overall condition wise.127,000 miles. What do you think its worth? I have had a few camaros and its hard for me to gauge what I should offer for it. Any help would be very helpful.

Well he will obviously play the color card on that one. But with those kind of miles he can only expect so much. What is he asking?

Haven't seen the car, but I would be very hard pressed to give one with that mileage a 9 out of 10. I'm pretty picky, however.

I know a couple guys with high mileage, ultra clean cars. they have 100K on the clock and you would guess 40K, and a well-maintained 40K at that. However, these cars are a rare exception in my experience.

If this guy cared for it fanatically, it might be worth that. Just for reference, there is a '99 Z28 on here with almost the same exact miles... for $5200 and it really looks good, at least in the pics. Now, let's state the obvious, it's a '99, it's not SOM, and it's not an SS. So... maybe $8500-9500 for the car you are looking at.
Just a SWAG since you haven't posted any pics or really that much info about condition.

I don't have any pictures but the car looks good. I am very picky myself. The miles are mostly highway miles. It just seems a little high priced for the mileage to me. I think I would have a hard getting rid of it in a couple years when I get tired of it with that many miles.

I would guess with those miles around 10.5-11K assuming it is a nice car

is it modified? if not then id take it. a modified car usually implies that the car was driven hard. a car thats stock would be less likely to have been raced or driven harder than any other car.

i usually wouldnt buy a used car thats been modified but mine was a unique circumstance.

No mods. Maybe a K&N filter.

I paid $9500 for my 1999 T/A with 76K miles on it . IT has a ram air hood , SLP lid , K&N , coated LTs , ORY and a Borla stainless catback . The car is flat out as close to mint as I have seen . I would talk him down at LEAST $1000.
