Default Lowering springs worth it with stock shocks?

Well search didn't turn up what i was looking for. I don't know a whole lot about suspensions but i do know the majority of people say the ride quality will be compromised if you use lowering springs with the stock shocks. I want a lower stance for my car but can't afford new shocks right now, would it be worth it to just get lowering springs or should I wait and just do springs and shocks at the same time sometime down the road? All input is appreciated, thanks.

I got some DMS springs for christmas, and was planning to put them on with stock shocks and some lca's. From what i've gathered springs with stock shocks will just be a little stiffer, but the shocks wear out really fast once you put the springs on. I'm just waiting for a set of KYB AGX's to put mine on. I figure might as well do it then.

I hated the ride with stock shocks and Eibach's, rode like azz.

Hoping to get some more opinions on this, they seem mixed so far.

I've been running dms springs with stock shocks since 2002, rides good, just watch out for speed bumps.
