Unhappy Long Post-Im EXTREMELY in Awe. Not Happy with baseline.

So I got this car from another member on here, and was supposedly tuned by RPM motor sports up in dallas. They told me they had tuned it and it took 3-4 days to tune with EFI Live and had to buy another PCM for it. They put a "nitrous tune" on it so he can spray a baby 100 shot.

Well Chuck at HPE could not tap into my PCM(PCM wouldn't allow it) and would not even recognize the VIN for the PCM to flush and fill it and start fresh.(???)

The Dyno was reading 13 for the A:F and 23* timing, was running rich up top and the rev limiter was set at like 6150 rpm...*shrug*

The Car made 373 rwhp and 368 rwtq....WTF dude..thats with a M6 and 3.42s, cam, exhaust, FAST 90/ NW 90

Here are my mods:

Futral F14 cam 232"/234" .598 "/.598" 112LSA
Patriot dual Gold Extreme valve springs
Comp cams Chrome Moly Pushrods 7.400 (Stock Length)
Futral motorsports ported LS6 oil pump
LS2 timing Chain
90mm FAST intake manifold
90mm Nick Williams Throttle Body
30lb SVO injectors
Mac Mid Length Headers
Off road ypipe
QTP electric cutout
Magnaflow muffler welded in stock cat-back
MTI lid w/K&N

Heres the graph:

What the hell is going on with my car..

seems like your leaving power on the table with your exhaust system, also I think you need more timing .did you dyno with the cutout open?

No the cutout is not on the car(as of right now), regardless the car should have made at least 390 with that intake system on it and that cam.

I'm guessing they locked the PCM. There's really only one type of person that does that. The type that doesn't know what they are doing and doesn't want others to see their work. Get another PCM for about $75-100 and throw a new tune in it. I guarantee your results will get a lot better.

good luck finding a pcm for that cheap, open the cut out and see what happens, that can make a big difference on stock cat back. Also get some Longtube headers, shortys or mid lengths arent worth a **** on these motors.

You can find them in junk yards for about $80. The shortys and mids do have a gain over stock it's just not as much as lt's. I think he knows that anyway, he's been around a while, they don't just make morons mod's...I hope

the tuner was like maybe something is mechanically wrong...This car is show room, When I change the oil there is no shavings, or grit..nothing. Doesnt burn oil, and it sounded healthy on the dyno Ill try to get a vid up soon.

Ya the car came with the MAC mids, and im not going to justify spending almost 1K to gain an additional 5 hp

i was going to say something in your other posts but i had an ss with mac mids and a cam and a formula on mids and both of them would always have 12 more rwtq than horsepower. on the dyno. that stock catback is really messing you up, take it off and run open y pipe and you will probably see a big difference. dont most catbacks claim a gain of 15hp over stock? think about that if your modded could make 25 hp diff i guess

Another 5* of timing and you should be up around 390-400. Was this on the Mustang or Dynojet?

Mine put down about 375ish with that same cam on HPE's mustang dyno and hauled nuts (for a cam only car).

like tyler said...people who "lock" pcm's...can be pretty shady....theres no real reason for that, i know a few people around my neck of the woods who do it...and i know what they do
