Just as the title says, how hard is it to switch from a forward manual valve body to a rmvb with a tb?? Are there any special things that need to be done?? Also, what Valve body would you recommend?? Thanks as usual guys..

The trans will have to come apart. With the trans brake the direct drum needs to have a bleed hole drilled in it. Also with the brake, the drum needs to have heavier return springs installed. This is a part of the trans brake kit. We use the Coan brake kit here at FLT. This kit comes with a valve body, spacer plate, return springs, pro-tree brake solenoid, pressure regulator spring and a different modulator valve. IIRC. I would strongly consider using a pro-tree solenoid with any trans brake. From my experience and from what I have been told, it is the fastest most reliable on the market. Good luck. Vince

There will be some special tools needed to install the springs in the direct drum. If you are not skilled in this type of work it might be best to have a trans guy do the work for you. Vince
