American Touring Specialties ($$$$$$):

Or, modify a set of 4th gen Kooks headers. Scott Gulbranson, the guy who runs lateral-g.net, did that for his '69. Do a search on the forums there ...

correcto mundo. he only had to modify one primary on the drivers side.
he used Kooks for what it was worth.
FWIW, if you can find a set with round flanges, I wouldn't be overly concerned about using them...

Thanks, I checked with Tyler at ATS, $$$$$ and Stainless Works $2200. each! Looks like I'll stay with the Hookers.

LG Motorsports has built quite a number of Z06/LS7s with over 600 RWHP, using their 1-3/4 headers, so I wouldn't worry about losing much with the smaller tubes. You have to remember, the LS7 only has a 1.60 exhaust valve, so beyond a certain point a larger header tube buys you nothing in terms of flow and costs you in terms of scavenging.

ss Dave,
Check with Frank @ Prodigy Customs. He has LS7 1 7/8" headers in the works for about $1200-1400. They were prototyped off of my car which has a DSE subframe and an LS7 but will also fit the AME subframe.

Thanks, I know Frank, having spoke with him several times. I have a modified stock front clip. We notched the crossmember to accomodate a Canton oil pan. My LS7 is a wet sump with ported exhaust, that's why I would like to find a set of headers. Take advantage of the head work.
