Default Removing transistor from SLP 85 mm MAF?

Just wondered how most remove the transistor? Looks like heating up the solder would be the best but wasn't sure if that would damage something else.

The only other way that I would know of would be to cut the wires from the transistor but I thought that could possibly damage the metal bracing/fixtures going accross the MAF.

Thanks

good question, was thinking about doing that to the SLP maf I have sitting in the closet. The extra resistor caused the car to run too lean.

The RESISTOR make the 85 MM more like the stock one. If you have mods get a tune or get a wideband. Cut things that you dont know what they do can make very bad things happen. Get a wideband. Know your Air/fuel ratio.
