new guy cam question
What's up guys. ive had my 98 WS6 M6 for about 3 months and have an exhaust and lid on it. Im in college so my budget is limited. I dont see my Mod list going much beyond a cam, heads, gears and tune. My trans am is my daily driver so i won't beat on it to much. And im not an expert on cams by any means, although i did read the cam guide on here, but im still lost so can anyone help me which a cam that would fit well with my situation and where i could by one, Thanks
Paul

A TR224 would be a good cam. It's proven and very streetable. There are some other's like it, but that's just the first that came to mind. Many larger cams are also very streetable, but being on the budget I would stay somewhere in the 222-230 range on a cam. Just my opinion though.

I also agree, you should do the long tube headers and ls6 intake first ,then get cam and heads after that.

F-that 1st mod nitrous
Agreed a cam is a big price, spring set, timing chain, oil pump, cam, gaskets, and a lot of installation work and tools needed.
Stuff like intakes and headers any dummy can do and you really don't need much more than a socket set. Besides a cam without an intake or exhaust isn't going to add much power.
To tell you the truth my 1st mod would be a new rear end because once you race it on that POS 10 bolt with a M6 it's gonna sit in your driveway LOL.
