alright i REALLY want to throw a cam in my 98 t/a a4. but i know its alot of work . so im looking for some suggestions on an extremly streetable cam with minimal work. oo yeah and on a budget. thanks!

The simplest, most cost effective would be a used LS6 cam. You can pick one up for ~$200.

you can egt an ls6 cam, ls6 springs, and ls6 pushrods which you will need for about $200 all together. and you might get about 380hp to the wheels with full boltons

i like my 224/228 (check link in sig for dyno ) . Very streetable compared to cams I have had in the past . Makes good power as well as a nice note . You cant go wrong with a LS6 cam as the yellow springs are pretty cheap but you can get some 918s for a little more coin and have a wider variety of options for the future .

you will have to change springs for any cam you use, so the work involved is the same all around. Why not have a cam specced out for you by one of the cam guru's? You can tell them exactly what you want and they can set up the right cam for you.

I've got a nice cam that would work great in your car. But you would also need to get a valve spring kit, hardened PR's, and all the front acc gaskets. So look to be spending about $500-$700 if you were doing a cam swap. Thats for a cam that will actually make good power.

Keep your eye on the classified section here. You can pick up a used cam, spring kit, and pushrods for cheap. Then all you'd have to get new would be gaskets and a balancer bolt. Since you want something simple and super streetable you probably won't want anything more than a 224ish cam.
