Default 28 Mpg + 80 Mph = Ls1

Bought a 2002 Z28 M6 from another member on here, drove it home from Florida to Texas averaging 80mph and 28 mpg. I'm impressed that it's such a smooth ride and the car can jog along so fast and efficient. Got to love that 6th gear on the highway.

Spent several years trying to make a heavy truck fast getting 9-11mpg, tried a S R T 4 but didn't care for the FWD and lack of V8 music. I think the LS1 is the best of both worlds. My co-pilot on the way home wants to buy one now.

Damn M6ers always toting their insane MPG. My A4 gets 20.5 mpg with 50/50 city/highway. Still impressive for a 345-hp V8, but it's no 28 MGP. :/

Congrats on your purchase, though.

Ha ha don't worry, I'll drive it around the city with my heavy foot and ruin that gas mileage soon enough. I just had to brag about that 28mpg, helps me justify the purchase to my wife as well
