Default Question to the HP tuner A4 to M6 guys

hello. I am doing a A4 to M6 swap shortly and just trying to do the research on everything before i begin.

Q: What all needs to be changed in hp tuners for the change from A4 to M6 swap. I am going to keep the a4 harness and computer. The guy that has the programing has not had anything like this (a swap using same comp)

Q: can the car run at all with the a4 settings and the m6 trans?

let me know

thanks

You need to get your ecu flashed for a m6. You might be able to just change the tables in the tune, but I'm not sure about that.

From what I understand, the car will run after the swap (untuned) but some things will need to be addressed. I know it messes with your gauges.

just get a m6 stock file and flash it to your pcm that is what i did but i have unlimited yr model. just make sure its same yr as yours but stock m6, if not you can also open a m6 file with the compare function and change every single setting but that will take a while

This is what I did as well, then copied all of the tables I changed from my A4 tune to the M6 tune......worked great.
