Stereo & Electronics - using a switch panel for garage opener

I have some rfid (i believe) garage door openers for my house. I would really like to incorporate them into a switch panel. Has anyone done anything like this?

Any ideas on how to do it?

easiest way would be wire up a momentary push button switch to the 2 contacts inside the remote

That's exactly what I did. Have an extra momentary switch in my ashtray panel that's wired to my remote. I drilled a small hole in the remote and soldered the leads to the contacts. Put the remote back together and have it behind the glove box using velcro but can pull it out to change the battery when it needs to be replaced.
