Default Limit of stock crank w/ a Procharger...

Just curious how far the stock cast cranks have been pushed with the Procharged applications.
Thanks

you will lift the heads and have all sorts of other issues before the crank lets go or you sheer the snout off of it. dont even worry about it.

15lbs on a stock end here. Conservative timing though.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm gonna see how far I can push a time bomb budget short block. The crank will be double keyed but I'll have a crank support on it to it'll have to twist off to fall off.

You need some kind of keyway/pin with any blower, except maybe a 6 rib P1SC on a stock engine under 10psi..

I just run a singe 3/16 square key with an ATI balancer and a ARP bolt @ 175ft/lbs, never had any signs of it moving around at all. I think you would take the little snout off the crank before you would shear the single key.

12 lbs of boost?

That's like me trying to describe a car to someone and saying it has 4 rubber tires. PSI means nothing.

you will need to worry about the stock rods before anything.

It is the same with any setup. The stock crank will fail at a given hp/tq level and the right amount of shock. They are worldwide agreed to be reliable up to 1200 crank hp.

I assume the keyway has to be put in by a machine shop with the crank out of the motor?

Yes, some aftermarket cranks come with them. They also have pin kits that use round pins that you can use without taking the crank out.
