Zoom twin disc clutch(stage 2), any thoughts?
Hey guys, looking for a good backup clutch and I'm able to get this Zoom stage 2 twin-disc for a really good price brand new. Does anyone have any nsight as to the clutch's real world holding?
The unit "appears" to be very well built and has a rating of 920 ft lbs. The disc material is cerametallic....
Thanks for the thoughts.....

I actually just had that clutch installed 3 weeks ago. ive put about 500 miles on it so far. the clutch is great. it's pretty stiff during break in but it holds very well under pressure. i would recommend it for any car that see's more street use.

i know a few guys who had them and hated them they starting slipping when they added boost or nitrous...
if your going to be putting down a pretty good bit of power id probably look into texatralia, cartek, or mcleoud

We thought that some of you would like to see proof rather than just read about it of a power adder being applied to an LS engine that runs a Zoom Twin.
Mike Peters is a professional drifter and his weapon of choice may appear to be a Nissan 240, but it packs a LS Magnacharged power plant that we thought would be a great test bed for a Zoom D2 twin disc clutch set up.
Now for those that have not had seat time in a drift car you should know that 'clutch kicking' is one of three techniques of initiating a drift. You'll see Mike doing so... at over 6000RPM in this video link!
PS. He installed this Twin Disc over a year ago and is still running it today!
Enjoy!
