Default Local machine shop to work on my LS6 block?

I picked up an LS6 block locally from a friend and I want to get it freshened up. I want to do main and cam bearings, and possibly get the cranked turned if it needs it. I want them to repair what needs to be repaired, but I'm worried because the shop has never messed with LS engines. They do small blocks all day long, I know the guy pretty good and he said it shouldn't be a problem. Is there anything I should ask them that's special about this engine?

yea I remember you guys do it too, but this is a local shop for me and they always do our stuff at work and we've never had a problem with them, plus I like helping them out whenever I can. How much do you guys charge for machine work on the block? Just the basics, nothing fancy
