I know I shouldnt let this out of the bag yet but I just cant sit on these pictures. We put the body back on to check for clearances so that the tranny tunnel could be made. Body work is starting now but this is just back from media blast and primered.

Let me know what you think. Lots of new pics coming in the next week or so, be on the lookout.

Very nice. What kind of paint did you use for the engine and tranny?

The engine and tranny were painted with a self etching black primer, then shot with single stage paint. Turned out really good. We have done this on a few other cars with great sucess.

I personally can't stand the 'oversized wheels with rubber-band tires' look (sorry) but putting that one element aside, it's gonna be a kick-*** project. Heck, it looked great before you got started!

+1 I'm with you Rumble. I love the build except for that. I really admire the workmanship so far. I'll be watching as it progresses. I want to see how the paint comes out.

Just a couple more pictures from today. Just added some corvette valve covers and painted my intake until the new bling shows up.
Also got my 3.5" Aluminum drive shaft from Inland Empire Drive Line. Just wanted to thank everyone at Inland Empire, great service, fast turn around, and they make it very easy to order the right piece the first time. Top quality! THANKS!
