Should be no problem on the street, as the tires will spin long before hurting the rear.
The 12 bolt should hold up ok for limited track duty too, just don't launch the
car by side stepping the clutch WFO...
Be careful to get both tires wet in the waterbox and do an even burnout.
I've see many people smoke a good posi by having one dry tire and one wet, then
doing a peg-leg burnout. The posi is obviously not too thrilled about this...

Agree with the others. I assume you have 33 spline axles? If you don't side step it or wheel hop, it will probably hold. If you have real good traction with that power, even on the street, it's possible to twist an axle. A spool would be better in any case with that power IMO.
I have your same problem and looking to switch my 12 bolt now with a fab9 or M9, but i will be mostly track.

With sticky tires it will most likely become a one wheel wonder very quickly. Bob

I'm not really sure what you could do. The best thing to do, and has already been suggested, is to sell the 12 bolt and go with a nine inch. For 800 to 900 rwhp you are limited to either a locker or a spool, so for road racing the locker would be what you'd want to use. The only problem with a locker is it can cause the back of the car to wiggle as it locks and unlocks, certainly not an ideal situation for road course use, but many do it. Bob
