Probably has an aftermarket cam in it. No reason to upgrade valvesprings & pushrods without doing a cam swap.

$14K seems high though.

I gave that for an 01 SS a year ago, but it had 70,000 on it. Little by little, the clean low mile ones are harder to find. I hate going by miles anyway. Some jerk could just install a used cluster with 29000 miles into a 75,000 mile car and if it were clean enough you wouldnt know the dif.

That seems high for 98 but that is up to you. Now if it was an 02 it would be worth it. The Blue Book shows around 9K. Add a couple more for all the mods. I would say 11K is the hightest I would offer.
Have any pictures?

Good luck.
