Stereo & Electronics - Wiring Mod for Z-28 Parking lights & Fog Lghts?

I thought i read somewhere that you can modify the wires for the parking lights & fog lights to came on at the same time. The way it is now that, i cant turn on my fog lights with just the parking lights switch on, just the parking lights come on & the fog lights dont come on untill i turn the headlights on. can i make this that i can turn the parking lights on & the fog lights are able to be turned on & off?

That's odd, I thought that the fog lights turned out with the parking lights... that's how mine is, and I've never changed anything.

hmm, sounds like someone modified the light to do that. the fogs should come on with the parking lights.

Yeah, that does not sound right @ all....?
sounds to me like someone "modded" your lights w/o your knowledge.
I drive with my fog/parking lights all of the time with only my parking lights turned on.

guys my camaro is the same way as his and its stock as far as that goes....i have a 2000 Z28 and the only way to get the fog lights on is to turn the headlights on. but to answer your question, the easiest way to do it would be to go behind the switch in the dash.....take the power wire to the switch and remove it from the headlight source it has now, and tap it into a parking light source. you will still be able to turn them on/off. but you will then have that option anytime the parking lights are on. hope that helps ya out.

This may be something that they changed... but not that I'm aware of.

I know my 02 SS's fog lights come on at the same time as my parking lights.
