Default Got a torquer v3, how will Cats affect sound?

I've had my torquer v3 and lanes duals since feb. I'm tired of smelling like gas all the time. I was thinking bout magnaflow high performance cats. How much would they change the sound?

The car thumps and idles awesome now. I just dont want it to change the sound too much. Any input from people who've done this?

I agree....the T3 is a lopey cam.... I liked it when I ran it.

It will quiet the car down, but anyone with a clue will still be able to tell your running a pretty aggressive cam.

+1. Even through cats if the cam has some lope... you'll be able to hear it.

Youll definately hear the overlap, but you may lose a little bit of the calk clak valve sound. Itll be slightly more subdued. Like you turned the treble down on the stereo while playing a Tv3 sound file.

One of my friends had a cam similar to yours in a c5 z06, he put the cats on just for emissions testing. He said that he should have put the cats on a long time ago. It made the car so much easier to drive possibly the back pressure, but the sound was still there. He used the ones from like is listed on MTIs website. Just the cats themselves http://www.motorsporttech.com/Conten...C5_Exhaust.htm

I have the Torquer 3 with the TSP catted y pipe, I love the way it sounds. At idle it is more subdued but still nice and on the road it sounds awesome. My car is not the normal
raspy sound it has a nice deep throaty sound. I bought a ORY when I was doing the am swap and could not get my catted Y off I gave it to a friend and he wishes his car sounded as good as mine. I get complements from all the LS1 guys I know on how my car sounds. I think I'm loosing 5-10 RWHP but damn it sounds good.
