Default sunoco hood install

So I went and put on the hood to line it up. It appears my stock hood struts are too strong to let the hood down. With A decent amount of pressure the hood would not close. There was quite a flex when I tried so I backedoff. Question is where Can I find weaker struts that will fit my car to allow the hood to be lowered with les pressure? Any links would be great. thanks!

take one of the struts off and it will be fine. OR get your hands on a lighter duty pair of struts, although they are hard to come by...

I'd say don't use them for the time being. I remember there being a write-up on how to mod the factory struts. I think the mod would depressurize the struts and you'd have to mod them so they lock in place with something.
