Default AIR and EGR Removal

How many things should you be blocking off? I keep seeing three but my buddy swears there's only two. The one on the intake, and the vacuum line in the back of the motor. Is there a third one somewhere that needs to be blocked off?

There is a good thread about this, search around! There is a vacuum line that needs to be plugged with a screw. The top of the ls1 intake needs to be plugged and I forget if there are one or two egr plates on the exhaust manifolds. The thread has pictures of all of this.

I've been searching... and I always find similar answers like "use block off plate" or "blockoff EGR." I have the race headers from Pacesetter so there's nothing there on the header for that. But i'm not sure if there is something somewhere else that i'm missing

Go to the thread that TheBlurLS1 posted. There you will find what you need. It is in the yellow portion at the beginning of the Generation III External Engine section.

I found it, but it doesn't show me pictures or let me know where I am to block off. It gives me links which no longer work.

But that's if you don't have the race headers. I have the race headers... so no EGR on mine.

No! You have the race headers, so all you'll need is to plug the vaccum line and the EGR hole on top of the manifold, and you're all good.
Are you removing the EGR and AIR pumps and stuff?
On the regular style headers, you need 3 block-off plates, thats why some people are saying 3, but you should be good to go bud.

Hey Chris, I am in the process of doing the same thing. I have a thread started as well. I feel ya.. There are 3 points. 2 on the piece on the BACK of the intake, and that has a line connected to the module on the drivers side of the intake. That is plugged into the wiring harness.I actually removed all of that. but i still have the "T" like thing sticking out the back of the intake. No one seems to really know what to do. I am doing a head/cam/LT setup. I already removed the A.I.R pump and plumbing. I guess i will just have to do trial and error, or hopefully someone with some knowledge will respond.KD
