Default Oil pan

Yeah...this is kind of a stupid question, but im helpless after searching on the forums for the answer. I have all 10 small bolts out, the 2 long ones, and the 2 to the bell housing. The pan will move side to side, but will not fall down, the drivers side of the pan is loose but the pass side feels like it is caught on something but there is nothing there. and i dont want to pry on the pan. Any thoughts would be grateful

I forget how many bolts there are. Did you take off the oil filter and those black plastic covers at the back where the bell housing meets the block. I think they hide a bolt or two. And make sure you get the ones obstructed by the K member.

take your dipstick tube out......there is a 15mm bolt in the middle of your passengers side head by the header bolts. take that out and pull the tube out of the pan.

Don't completely remove the bolts....just back them out till the pan sits on the k-member.

You don't have to remove the oil filter or the dipstick tube. Just make sure you get every bolt. The pan shouldn't get hung up on anything.

True, you shouldnt even have to move the pan at all, it will just drop down until you get to the oil pump pickup.
