Default SS3600--To--SS4000 Results...

After seeing "Black X's" results from restalling. I decided to do the same thing and track the results in same weather/DA.

Combo...401 LT1, cam, heads, 3.73 strange 12 bolt rear, ect. (think of it as a ok running LS1 stroker). 3820 race weight, with 275 17's SS rims and tires at all 4 corners. Dyno of 460 Sae, locked converter...

Drive-ability is close to ss3600 but you need 2500-3000 to keep up with traffic depending on how fast they're accellerating which is about 500 more than the SS3600. With my torque and weight the converter flashes to 4800 and has an extension of 5800 when shifting at 6700 (acts an awefull lot like a thruster pro 4000-4400 on my combo). Roll racing/down shifting is awesome now.....

Track results...
SS3600
60. 1.655 (best of 1.641)
330 4.827
1/8 7.454
MPH 93.60
1000 9.724
1/4 11.630
MPH 118.67

DA of 1800, Tail wind of 10-15 mph at top end of track. Long cool down after runs (important for our heat soaking LT1 manifolds).

SS4000
60. 1.560 (Best of the night was 1.535) moving for my race weight and heavy 17's all 4 corners. Both fronts with air under them.
330 4.643
1/8 7.256
MPH 94.07
1000 9.514
1/4 11.447 (Bracket racing and let off at the end)
MPH 112.94 (let off) most full runs were 116.5 to 117.8MPH with 93.5mph 1/8 mile.

DA was between 1700-2000. About 1900 on the best run. I'm sure if Ellis had not lifted it would have ran a high 11.3's or 11.4 flat at 118mph. This is also with little cool down time which kills a mile an hour on my car.

So, even without the positives (no tail wind and little cool down time). I still ran .19 less ET (lifting)...Very happy with it so far, and I'm looking forward to it only getting faster with more runs and some tweaking...and running 1.4 something 60's when I put some skinnines up front

Results will very for others I'm sure. But my combo liked the extra flash and extension.

it would hit the tires hard and when the track prep was there both front tires a few inches off the ground. Need to adjust the rear a little it goes right while in the air.

I lifted at about the 1,100ft mark after blasting by the other guy but it was not enough. I ran a 11.44 in the heat with a 116.9MPH. I tried to run after that but I only got one hit and pushed in the lights screwing up the whole run.

Car liked leaving at 3,300 the best. Pretty sure it has at least a 11.3 in it if not a teen on a cold day with good track prep I was at 19-20Psi on the tires by end of night

Over all not bad for a 17 INCH drag Radial 3,800Lbs sled

Nope thank you....
Your write up with similar weigh and power levels gave me the idea to step up to the SS4000. The gains look to even be a little better than what you got since Ellis had to lift on the best run. My guess is .25 of second looks to be close.

How's that turbo set up coming?

Turbo Setup is coming along nicely, I should fire it up this week, hopefully on the road next week sometime. It will be going straight to the dyno (work LOL) to speed the tuning process. Hopefully I will have some video and dyno numbers within a couple weeks.

Thanks again for sharing your results, make sure you post up when the car makes a full pass.
