Need Help! ASAP Please Help! LS2 Bellhousing and LS1 Starter Wont Fit!
I Am doing an A4 to M6 Swap and now that Ive bolted up my T56 bellhousing my starter wont go back on! the place on the bellhousing for the starter to go is too small????? The Bellhousing is off of a LS2 GTO and its going on a 99 LS1 Trans Am.
What do I do now????
I was told that the LS2 bell was the same part number as the LS1 piece, but its obviously not because the place for the starter is too small?
So now what? Do I go and buy an LS1 Bellhousing or do I go and buy a Starter for an LS2? And heck even If I buy a new starter whos to say that there may be other dimintions of the LS2 bellhousing that are Diffrent than the LS1 Piece??
Someone please give me an answer Im out in the middle of doing this swap as we speak on my laptop and Im stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Someone please help
Thanks in advance
Mike
