Pretty shitty how he badged it as a Trans Am, let alone a WS.6
Wouldn't be a big deal to me if he badged it as a Firebird, or just left it debadged.

Shit, must have cost a few bucks to do that- why not just invest in the real deal?

Whatever floats their boat. Other than it being a V6 the car looks pretty nice on the outside. Sure the WS6 Emblem on a V6 is a total no-no. It's gonna be hilarious when the WS6 emblem police get in on this thread! lol.

This was one of my plans
Get a 3.8 firebird and dress it like a WS6 (no badges)
then have the real deal looking carbon copy (-engine and small interior keys)
and ask to race someone in your "Trans AM" and show how its a clone and then show up in the BEAST lol
good for a laugh and to piss people off

I would buy that as a daily driver, take off the emblems, and that way I have body parts for my real WS6 if anything ever happend. Although at 4500 it's a little high for a 96 V6 that's rebadged. I've seen 98+V6's go for that much.

*edit* yeah those are definately drums... hmmm i wonder if it ended up with a 3rd gen rear end?

The base model firebirds had rear drum brakes and disc in the front. ABS in the front only as well. With the addition on the Y87 option on the firebird you would get 4 wheel disc, posi rear, and dual turn down tip exhaust. That option was first offered in 96.
On a side not it is a very nice lookin car, but I wouldnt have invest so much time and money in to it myself.

I bet conversions like this are why some ricers think they can run with a TRANS AM WS6!!

^ I wouldn't doubt it, then they just assume that the stock real WS6s that own them probably have 1000hp.

Wow, that's horrible. The "Ram Air" callout on the hood is f'n HUGE too. I've never see one that big.

hey since were on the subject, I found a WS6 clone convertible
it was a v6 they put the front and rear bumpers covers on and the hood off a wrecked
ws6 best part is they put the LS1 and the ram air induction system on it.
The title is clean on the car, the funny thing is the guy said he save a ton on car insurance.

That car looks sick! And that is comming from a true WS6 owner here. Looks very clean and very well done. But he should deff. ditch those Trans-Am badges and WS6 badge, thats like putting a Type R sticker on a Civic Ex. Keep it badgeless or just Firebird badges....this kid must of wanted a WS6 bad! Even the license plate frame reads "Trans-Am" All that $$ he put into it would of gotten him the real deal
