Question going to build a ls motor

my question is wich ls motor should i build i want to start buying parts block internals etc. im going to swap this out for my lt1 in my 93 transam. are there any bennefits of the different ls motors any info would be great thanks.

from the research ive been doing im thinking the lq9 block is the way to go if i do this what would it be a ls2?

the 6.0 block is a great way to go the difference between my 408 and LS2 402 is $350

what heads would you put on from the ls series im going to get that block next week.
