They loook like something I would use on a gate in my backyard..... I would think a piece of Alum bar stock or tube with 1/4 heims tapped into them would be as strong and look better...

sorry but I'm not much of a fabricator...would love to be though. Thanks for the idea though, I might give it a shot.

your local fastenal. they should have some i stock and if not they can have them to you in 1 to 2 days depending how close you are to a hub.
