Default How to tell what converter is in car?

Bought a 1999 Camaro from a guy that had purchased at a dealer trade in. He had no idea of the mods, it does have a purple converter in it, which brand and any easy way to tell what exactly it is? had it on a lift and turned the converter all the way around did not see any part #'s.
