Default I have a good laugh for everyone here

Today at school my friend found out that I bought an ss, and he started saying that when he puts a turbo in his SOHC 95 civic he will make me wish i never bought a camaro.

I asked him if he was on crack, and he said no, so i dont know what makes him think that little sowing machine will touch an ls1.

Ya with a turbo they will give a stockish LS1 a run for its money and prob pull it up top bc of gearing and having FI.. But I hope he doesn't expect it to last long with a stock bottom end.

and btw, a stock engined sohc civic, even if it's a d16, is going to be pretty ******* slow. Like having trouble trapping over 105 slow.

yea im not worried about it. he's a horrible shifter, and i have an automatic. i mean i know civics are light but im sure that car only has about 150hp max right now

by the time he gets his turbo, ill have my full exhaust set up with an ls6 intake.

Well a guy that lives around me has a SOHC with a built bottom end nothing extravagant or anything but Wiseco forged pistons and stuff like that. He will tear up bolt on LS1's.

even if he manages to make it "faster" in the end he's still driving a civic that looks like crap, has little room inside, and no matter what will sound like crap

i'd rather have a 14 second car that looks and sounds nice for cruising than a POS that runs 11s with an exhaust tone that makes me want to blow my brains out

Pull him up top? Right where the LS1 shines? I dont know about that. I can tell you my turbo beater dosnt pull nearly as hard up top.

But anything is possible with a big enough turbo.

Properly built, a civic can run low 10s. So make sure you know what you are going against, but never, never underestimate an oponent.

Of course it can be done.. I lost to a 9 second civic del sol before, but it doesn't sound like the kid he is talking about knows much about cars. I could be wrong though.

On a stock motor, he will only be able to run about 5 psi and will be lucky to raise his trap from 85mph to 90-92mph.

I hate closed minded ricers. He'll grow up in a few years. But for the mean time smoke him
