Default port and polish intake?

Is this something the individual can do or should it be sent out? If it is something you can do, are there any write ups that give good instruction? I have done a couple of searches and came up with nothing.

Thanks,
Joe

What year is your car? If it's a 98-00' you are MUCH better off getting a LS6 intake manifold than trying to port your LS1 manifold.

DIY porting is a touchy subject, some have seen good results, some have made paper weights.

What are your current mods? Most likely you should concentrate on other areas of your engine before you have to touch the LS6 manifold.

It looks like you have all of the supporting mods for a good cam swap. I would leave the manifold alone, It is a well designed piece. I recommend getting a TR224 or a F13 cam. You'll be much happier spending your money that way.
EDIT: You could also get a aftermarket or p&p TB.

I hear you. The F13 will make a good cam-only swap if funds are short, you will need to get dual springs with that. Get a TB, get a mail order tune, and you will be putting down some nice numbers.
