Doing a 6 speed swap in my 95 camaro and i was wondering if i could just change the upper shifter plate or if it requires a whole center console change. Im just not sure if the M6 has a removable plate like the auto does.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah the shifter plate can just be replaced. I am in the process of an m6 swap right now and I just bought the shifter plate, 2 bolts in the rear under the console lid and then the rest just snaps right in. my car is an ls1. so you will prolly have to just buy the lt1 style shifter plate cause the dont think they are interchangable between ls and lt 1's
