Default 2002 SS 346CI 502rwhp / 455rwtq N/A

2002 SS with 17k miles. TFS 215 heads, Rapid Dominator 2 camshaft, ARH Headers, Magnaflow CB, Rapid Ported FAST 92, Rapid Tuned. M6 with 3.42 rear. Stock bottom end, no notched pistons.

This car cruises very nicely. This is not a huge cam. Very low 230's intake duration.

Says 3.42 10 bolt. I'd be curious to see what 4.10 gears do to it. I hope that bottom end holds up for a while because those are some sick numbers right there. Any other valvetrain upgrades other than valvesprings? What driveshaft and flywheel does he have?

Default Awesome!

Good God man.

I'm running the TFS 215 heads as well... but a much smaller cam and LS6 intake.... It's nice to see what a few changes can yield if I'm ever feeling froggy!

By the way, how much did you mill the heads?

The 502 looks like the result of a baby spike, but what the hell, 498, 499, 500, 501 etc is 500 in my book.

Very good combo brother. How about some more details ?? What compression, are you using an ewp and ud pully ?? If no ewp or pully then you have got a serious M/F'r on your hands !!!! You posted that you are using a ported 92 mm FAST, ported to what ? 95mm or 100mm ?? How big is the t/b ?? So many people on here said a ported 92mm FAST would be a waste on stock cubes, in your case I would say definately not !!

Porting the throttle body opening is not what they mean when they say "ported." They match the intake ports to the head ports and clean up the runners....

Don't mean to hijack but, maybe you should stick to arguing over which header is best.

Excuse me Jackass, but porting is opening thn neck, cleaning up the runners and matching the intake ports. Maybe you should take your head out of your *** before you type. I have a ported intake from Ron at Vengeance and it was port matched to my AFR 205's and the neck was opened up to match a 95 mm tb. Wanted a little more flow for the coming 402. You could've saved that comment for a PM vs putting it out there. Remember jerk that you started the mud slinging, and to make it better you don't know what you are talking about.

Maybe you should give Ron a call and ask him about his porting. Neck, runner cleanup, and port matching. All done correctly yield exceptionally improved airflow. Ron should know he's done so many.

Back to the regularly scheduled program.

This thread needs to stay focused on the OP's OUTSTANDING outcome from his obviously well thought out combo. Congrats on cracking the 500 rwhp club, and no complaints on the 455 rwtq either. Makes me wish I had the TFS 215's but the AFR 205's aren't too shabby.

Now lets get some more details bro, when numbers like yours get posted, we want details. Again congrats !!!

I already asked Mikey about Compresstion in another thread

(11:1. Left a little compression on the table with the GM MLS gaskets but is very safe horsepower on 92 octane).

Again great work Mikey

Unbelievable !!! I guess the big thing is the TFS 215 heads. Those heads when mated with the right combo are making killer numbers.

Do you know if he's running an ewp and/or ud pully ?? If not, he's got some power left on the table, albeit maybe another 10 rwhp, but the gas mileage alone justified me buying them.

Man, I guess the egg on your face from the "header war" still stings huh?

I'll leave you alone now. You seem to be a little too touchy, and thin skinned.

Back on topic, I'm still curious as to the head milling...

No egg on my face, I proved my point about the pro longtubes making more torque overall (under the curve) and were the better choice for overall performance VS chasing peak numbers.

Any more comments directed towards me should be kept in PM so as not to distract further from OP's thread.
