ok i have a bit of a problem, i cant find a 160 thermo for my car.i bought the hypertech and it looks like the one in the pic,the prob is that my stock one dose not have those square pillars its more round,and the hypertech has those pillars that wont fit in the water pump! have seen almost every brand and they all have that pillar.and all 1998-2002 ls1thermo's ! help please!!

so what ur saying is your thermo isent one cast with the housing??? if not then u have a differnent water pump, i think ur thermostat falls under the 2004- up LS2 motors and trucks thermostat that is just round and has the spring. those are cheaper too btw

its all 1 piece, i should have taken a pic of it. but the wierd thing is that i cant find a pic of my stock thermo!
