That is a very small cam you shouldn't have problems with anything, check to see the max lift on your stock springs and if they are old consider getting the matching spring set.

Go for it, only 1 way to find out and a good reason to swap to a bigger engine.

The only thing that I can for see as being a problem is your Proform rockers. Which style of ones are you looking at? Roller tip (they make two different versions of the roller tip) or full body roller?

Just keep in mind that those usually only make it about 30,000 miles before they work harden, and have a tendency to break. I know several people that have tried them and had them break alot sooner than that.

so is it a bad idea to just install this cam and lifters w/o replacing the timing chain and other things. im thinkin of just doing the cam swap for now and replacing the rods rockers seat springs etc later. good idea bad idea?

Once you get that stock plastic cam gear in your hand you'll have your answer about changing the timing set.

Your stock cam lift is .390 and .410, lift is what will kill a rocker and that lift will not kill even a shitty proform, which BTW I think is a total waste of money. You're going to see no difference at all using those rockers on that set up, you'd be better off with stock and the money in your pocket or spent on springs or something else.
