Default Loud Tapping from top end of motor, what could be?

Ive got about 1500 miles on my forged ls1 and I came out and started my car and heard a instant "Taptaptap" that is rythymic with the motor. I cant hear it when im driving but i can hear it at idle...

It doesnt sound like a rod/main bearing because its a solid metal tap hard. and it doesnt sound like the ticking from lifters/pushrods/rockers. Anyone had this problem and what it could be? Ive put 200-300 miles on it like this and still havent figured it out, but its very loud and obvious..

Forged motor you say. Goes away when you rev it? My guess would be piston slap, possibly due to excessive clearance with the forged pistons.
