Default F.A.S.T. 92/92 combo

OK, I think I am going to threw down some $$$ on this combo. First question is: Is there a noticeable difference between the unported intake and the ported intake? Also, should I have the TB ported also, or is this not necessary due to the larger (92mm) size? This will be going into my DD, mods in sig. Any advice/input is appreciated. Thanks.

I bought the 92 ported, its probably worth the extra money. The throttle body is matched to the intake from my understanding so i dont think you need to port anything in the throttle body, i havent heard of anyone doing that.

Who does the best port jobs on these 92/92 combos? I know Tony Mamo and Vengeance Racing do porting. Is all porting pretty similar, or do some guys do better work than others?

I am looking to have my 92/92 combo ported, any sponsors out there?

VRacing did mine. They ported the runners, TB opening, & some inside the intake. They did good work. You can do a search for more info.

Vengeance also will paint your Fast intake. Do a search on it, they look very nice.

Thanks. I knew vengeance and Tony Mamo from AFR do porting. From what I hear, Tony may do a more complete porting job, but I am not sure. Anyone?

im pretty sure there are hp/tq gains to be had in porting the intakes. what i would be more interested in seeing is hp/tq differences between the sponsors who port these $1k intakes.

humm.. the results from my numerous searches is that you gain an average of 10-15rwhp/2-10rwtq. Not too shabby for +-275$!! but a Mamo port job is pricier though.
And no need to port that 92mm TB. You should open the intake mouth(port job) to 100mm and match it with a 100mm TB from rev extreme or other brand if theres any. But thats extreme. check in the dyno section; lots of crazy results from the intake itself and for the porting too. One LS1 hit 511rwhp with that 100mm!
