Is a cracked ls6 intake repairable?
I have a 3 inch crack on the bottom of the intake due to a little nitrous backfire. Can I just epoxy the crack to seal it?

Re: Is a cracked ls6 intake repairable?
I repaired mine with JB weld. The intake has to be clean as all getout. I put mine in a garbage can full of concentrated dishwashing soap and water and let it soak for a day then rinsed it and did it again. I still had oily spots and had to scrub it with a toothbrush and Dawn. The epoxy did a great job of repairing it. I sanded it flush and spray painted it with flat black. The part that holds the MAP sensor got broken off and pushed inside the manifold. I had to fill a couple of spots, but it worked great.

I know 3 people who replaced thier ls1 intakes with repaired, cracked ls6ers(all nitrous backfires). All are doing fine. If you fix the crack properly it will be fine.
