depending on the shop i would say 4000 to 9000. my shop would charge about 8000 to do everything including the jambs and engine bay.

haha yea i was gunna say 1-10000 but you narrow it down a bit more for him...there are too many variables, just go to a shop or call one and tell them what you want.

I got two estimates today for the following...

Front and rear bumper covers
Roof panel
New fiberglass hood
Headlight covers (TA)
Rear deck (including filling in some holes)
Fiberglass rear spoiler

1) $3300
2) $3600

ask around , i know a guy that will do it for $700 if you got a spot for him to paint it at . you can take it to a shop or you can go to a shop and ask some of the guys that are doing the actual painting .

have the car taken apart to paint. there is nothing cheesier than seeing a car and being able to tell within a minute that its had a color change. dpending on who you know and how much prep/body work you need. expect to pay roughly $3500 on the low side. ive detailed up to $40K show paint jobs that are so soft of clear a hair scratches them lol (which is good for a show only car), and it is one of those things that definitely fits in the "you get what you pay for" category.

If you want a quality complete paint job with all jambs painted (Which means EVERYTHING needs to be taken off) expect to pay around 6g's. A good friend of mine had his SS completely repainted jambs and all with everything taken off and that cost his $6,000. And it wasn't even a color change (His car is black). The guy that did the paint job is the guy who paints all of "BeCool" radiator's show cars. And it actually pissed me off a little since that is what I do is paint for living.

You gonna haul all the parts over the shop and then pray to god you don't screw them up bringing them back home and putting everything back together? If your gonna go through all that trouble you might as well paint it your self. Be better off having the shop do it all.

Good point. Reassembly could be a real pain if not done properly. I can take anything apart. Getting it back together is always the tricky part. lol.

Just (for the sake of your car) don't cheap out and not get it jambed. It looks terrible when you don't. Hell I caught the end of that car show in NY. He "pimped" some sports star's car and he didn't even jamb it. Ruined the whole car IMHO.

definately. you should see my 1994 right now. totally stripped inside and out just a rolling chassis. im painting the original color but when i do it, its gunna be a show car finish. painting the entire outside, jambs, engine bay, floors, roll cage, etc. trust me dont cheap out at all get it done right. and whatever you do dont paint the car in a garage. theres to many things that can go wrong doing a complete in a garage.
