Default Low dyno #s

Took my 02 camaro to Thunder Racing the other day for a tune. Mods are LT headers, ORY, Magnaflow exhaust, lid, TR Trak cam, Yank ss4000 stall, and 3.73. Car is always driven on Bfg drag radials. I was very happy with the tune from Thunder but disappointed with the dyno numbers. It only made 348whp unlocked and 366 locked. I did so reading here and found most say with a big stall auto dont expect much on the dyno so I decided to call a few friends. First was a 03 cobra with a pulley and tune with boltons. From a dig it was no contest although he was on drag radials as well and had a solid axle swap I put about 4 cars on him and stayed pulling. So we decided to go from a 50 roll, this is were I thought I was is big trouble, to my surprise the cars were dead even with little edge in my favor... maybe half a car. Next up was a 6-speed ss with similar mods to my car and on drag radials.... this car was tuned at Thunder 2 weeks ago and made 390 whp. We made two pulls both from a dig with me pulling by 2 cars each time, he left just as hard as I did but around 45-50 I started to walk away . So for anyone who dynos their big stall automatic, dont let the numbers get you down just go run the car and be plesantly surprised.

Dont worry about dyno #s ,just run it at the track .Autos are not dyno queens.

my A4 dyno numbers made me cry in my beer for all the doe i've spent but the car runs perfect and purrs like a kitten. A4s dyno at least 15 less than a stick.

If the car feels fast don't worry about it. Take it to the track and see what its really made of
