Default How to determine which carrier for these gears?

I have a set of 3.42s that I'm selling but I'm not sure what carrier they are for. I understand that the difference is in the thickness of the ring gear. Can anyone give me the dimensions of the 2 and 3 series gears and where to measure at to determine which carrier these gears are for?

What is stamped on the side of the ring gear? Usually the part number will include a T or X if it is for the 3.08 and numerically lower case.

Thanks for the reply, Scott

What's stamped on the side of the gear is M 1241 26050890 XXX

I measured the "flange" around the inside of the gear with a caliper, it measured right at .500 if that helps

Does 3.08 and numerically lower case mean 2 series carrier?

That is n OEM gear so you will need the 3.23 and numerically higher case or a ring gear spacer. Ring gear spacers are not recomended for racing.
