Default Exhaust pop when shifting

Hey

My car is an 02 WS6 M6 with 112k on it. It also has an Borla exhaust that was installed by a previous owner. The car will make a pop noise on decel when I go to shift. It's more noticeable the higher the rpm's when I shift and is louder when the car is cold. I have already replaced the plugs with NGK TR55's and MSD wires. I have no idea if the cats have been touched or not and I believe the stock exhaust manifolds are still on the car. I'm assuming this is just some unburnt fuel working it's way out and that it's not a big deal but just wanted to make sure.

Normal...all of these cars do it. The ones with non-stock exhausts make it more noticeable. Mine stopped doing it when I tuned out DFCO (deceleration fuel cutoff).

I figured that's what it was but wanted to make sure I hadn't gaped a plug wrong or something. Thanks for the help. Now I'll have to try it at night and see if I get fire!! FIRE FIRE!!!

Fire? No fire. I get the noise all the time when I'm downshifting and then engage the clutch. I've grown to love that sound on my gmmg.

Actually I lie, it's 123k

But at least I finally own one now. Picked it up about a month and change ago. Engines can be fixed/replaced
