need a measurement if ur d/s is out please..

i need to know the distance from the back of the housing (where the rear seal rides) to the end of the output shaft. as close a measurement as u can get. thank you.

Dont know exactly where you mean..but overall length is 47 7/8" and output shaft to the center of the u-joint cap is 47 1/8"

Are you looking for the measurement of how much of the shaft is inside the transmission?

I have a six speed shaft out and it measure's 48'' overall and from end of shaft to end is 42, 3/8

no i need the measurement of how far the output shaft sticks out the back of the tailshaft. need it for a driveshaft measurement.
