Anyone ever had their 1st to 2nd almost kick them sideways in a turn
Just wondering because I have a predator sport u 7198 and the shift settings are set all the way to firm and in a turn the 1st to 2nd gear wants to kick me sideways. Worn out shocks? Oh btw it's everytime LOL.

um worn tires? LAY OFF THE GAS! haha I dunno, but mine kicks out when I hit the gas too hard. Just be more mindful of how much gas you're giving while turning and accelerating. My car wants to spin whenever I'm in first turn or not, but just lay off the throttle and it's good.

Mine did that all the time after my Predator tune.
An adjustable torque arm took care of that.
Now nice and straight but a nice chirp and rubber on the 1-2 shift!

I'm thinking he's talking about a Predator tuner, and has set shift firmness to full.
Mid-corner is never the ideal place for a shift, whether that's up-shift or down-shift. Since the car is an automatic and you can't quite "control" the shifts the same as you can with a standard, you just have to learn to come onto the throttle a little later in the corner (once the car is more straightened out) or do the less desirable manual downshift before/while going into the corner . If you do it repeatedly under heavy throttle, your tranny may write you off its Christmas list though .

Oh ok!
I wasn't aware that you could change how firm the auto can put itself in gear. I'm guessing it's sort of like programming the transmission to rather than easing into the clutch for granny, dump the clutch instead? Well if that's true and you bang first to second around a turn at a high rpm in a manual, you will obviously break traction easier than if you eased did a sissy gear change. When you slam gears in a straight line, you can chirp your tires because your going forward anyway. When you slam gears in a turn, the tires want to chirp forward but you want to turn, thus you start to cause a spin. Just got to be smooth on the gas I guess in this situation or use the manual shift 1st, 2nd, etc...

Very light throttle, the tranny is going to upshift earlier, and that firm 1-2 shift could bite you in the butt .
Very heavy throttle, and you don't have to worry about the shift kicking the back end out, because you'll have throttle induced over-steer readily taking its place!
All it means is getting used to the shift points, and learning to drive accordingly, trying to corner somewhere between light and heavy throttle. OR, go into the corner REAL heavy so the car is already up to the next gear, and then all you have to worry about is a possible DOWN-shift as you get on the throttle coming out of the corner!

yea, i drove a customers car last week and that shift kit shifts ridiculously hard, i can easily understand the sideways in the turn...BUT unless you're in the throttle a good bit the tires will hold after that initial shock.
