Racer's Lounge - this is not a political thread...

This thread is to wonder why civics(not honda) oriented discussions are not allowed here. People not interested are free to not read them. Many people think this topic is pretty important.

If a particular thread goes bad, I can see closing or editing it, but to just blanketly disallow any civics discussions in the lounge? Why does this make sense?

Maybe because the mods/admins are afraid they would devolve into EXTREMELY biased and partisan, flaming and personal attack laden shitstorms??

Civics will develop into politics, politics will develop into flamewars, flamewars are not conducive to good, mature conversation. Discuss it all you want over at SSU.
